Same. <a href=\"https:\/\/media.giphy.com\/media\/JEVYf4g2ePr6o\/giphy.gif\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gif credit<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Never probably.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But that&#8217;s why you need SEOs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>They pull their hair out over the <a href=\"https:\/\/moz.com\/rand\/seo-opportunity-growing-shrinking\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ever-changing landscape of organic search<\/a> opportunity, so you don&#8217;t have to.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>(And because we love the challenge)<\/p>\n<h2>With all of the changes to organic search, is SEO opportunity dying?<\/h2>\n<p>Short answer: no.<\/p>\n<p>Longer answer: it&#8217;s not shrinking, but it will eventually morph into something completely different than the SEO we know today.<\/p>\n<p>And that&#8217;s okay.<\/p>\n<p>Because organic search opportunity has already changed irrevocably from what it used to be and we learned to adapt.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m talking about mobile, y&#8217;all!<\/p>\n<p>When Google first came into our lives, no one was using their phones to search.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 291px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/media.giphy.com\/media\/3o6fIV2QVypNBtn7DW\/giphy.gif\" alt=\"Catch you on the flip side\" width=\"291\" height=\"291\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Remember texting on this thing?\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/media.giphy.com\/media\/3o6fIV2QVypNBtn7DW\/giphy.gif\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gif credit<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Now mobile searches surpass desktop by a wide margin and Google uses the mobile-friendliness of a site as a significant ranking factor.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s a huge difference that no one could have foreseen until it was already happening.<\/p>\n<p>Same goes for all of the changes happening right now.<\/p>\n<p>We don&#8217;t know precisely how voice search is going to change SEO.<\/p>\n<p>Or what algorithm changes are headed our way in the next few years.<\/p>\n<p>And we don&#8217;t know how Google Shopping will affect e-commerce searches.<\/p>\n<h2>Here&#8217;s what we do know:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Huge changes won&#8217;t happen overnight. Or even this year.<\/li>\n<li>People will continue to predict the death of SEO, and they&#8217;ll continue to be wrong.<\/li>\n<li>Google will continue to serve useful content that best answers a search query.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Because that&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.digitalstrike.com\/blog\/how-ppc-affects-organic-results\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Google&#8217;s primary mission<\/a> &#8211; to make every search results page the best it can be.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But they can&#8217;t do that without people like us and the rest of the online world creating high-quality content they can serve up to searchers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Yes, we have to follow some of their rules in order to be favored by their algorithm.
